In the mild cases, the blood gets absorbed by itself most of the time. In more severe form of this disease the patient may need eye patching, bed rest and sedations to prevent recurrent bleeding of the eye. Eye drops may be given to prevent the inflammation and lower the intraocular pressure. Painkillers may also be administered to cut down the pain in the eye. Surgery to remove the blood clot from the eye may be needed if it increases the pressure of the eye severely |
